Magherafelt Arts Trust Development is a resource for information regarding arts events, funding procedures, local and national arts organisations, specific art form questions and management of arts events including festivals. The role of the Trust also includes the enhancement of existing provision, encouragement of new and innovative work, the development of audiences for the arts as well as the provision of support and advice to local arts organisations, individuals and community groups. The benefits of joining us include:

· Funding updates, notified of training opportunities, regular updates on free marketing opportunities

· Funding news and information from Magherafelt District Council

· Your organisations contact details will be promoted on the Magherafelt District Council website.

The aim of the database is to help you to network and share information with artists and arts organisations within the district of Magherafelt. This database will be available on the Magherafelt District Council Website.

Increased Arts in Magherafelt

As an organisation, Magherafelt Arts Trust (MAT) offers a programme of high quality events and workshops to encourage all ages to be involved in art activities. Michael Browne from MAT said:

"Magherafelt Arts Trust is the local arts development forum for the Magherafelt District, which exists to promote, support, develop and advise on art activities within the area. This year we have a fantastic line up of workshops, productions and events to encourage local people to become more involved in the arts, either as audience or participants. These include:

- Craft, Dance, Drama and Pottery Workshops

- Plays and productions

- Art Exhibitions and Demonstrations

- Craft Fairs

- Guitar, Keyboard, Crochet and Creative Writing Courses

- Storytelling Festival
