Application Evaluation Process

Following receipt of completed application an inspection will be carried out of the structure of the premises. Conditional approval will be granted if the necessary requirements are met. A further inspection will be undertaken within three months of the conditional approval to assess the food safety management system. If this is satisfactory full approval will be granted. If satisfactory progress has been made the conditional approval may be extended for a further three months.

Will Tacit Consent Apply?

No. It is in the public interest that the authority must process your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from the local authority within a reasonable period, please contact it. You can do this online if you applied through the UK Welcomes service or use the contact details below.

We would always advise that in the event of a complaint the first contact is made with the trader by you - preferably in the form a letter (with proof of delivery). If that has not worked, if you are located in the UK, Consumer Direct will give you advice. From outside the UK contact the UK European Consumer Centre. If the complaint is related to food safety contact envhealth@magherafelt.gov.uk or telephone +442879397979

Other Redress
