  • Local Councils reduced to eleven
    The Stormont Executive has agreed a plan to cut Northern Ireland's local authorities from 26 to 11 by 2011.
  • New community website
    A new comunity safety website has been launched - Safer Magherafelt
  • Available Grants
    GOOD RELATIONS GRANT AID ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 1. The terms 'Good Relations' has replaced 'Community Relations'. 2. The Programme for Government 2008-2011 states that the over-arching aim is to build a peaceful, fair and prosperous society in Northern Ireland with respect for the Rule of Law and where everyone can enjoy a better quality of life now and in the future
  • Meadowbank Sports Arena
    The Council have recently been awarded a grant of £397,536 by the Big Lottery Fund in respect of a New Opportunities for PE and Sport, Stage two grant application.
