LEISURE SERVICES

We are committed to providing a high quality Leisure Service which meets the expectations of our customers and the needs of all residents in the Magherafelt District Council area and to contribute to the District’s social and economic development.

We aim to enhance the quality of our Leisure Services by:

In General, we aim to:

· Ensure the Centre is safe , well maintained and clean for all our customers

· Be responsive to consumer demands and community needs by providing a wide range of Leisure facilities and services to benefit the whole community, including minority groups.

· Manage our services and facilities in an efficient and effective way providing value for money.

· Enhance the positive image of the District among its residents and to its visitors, by helping to create, maintain and promote a high quality environment in which to live and work.

· Pursue a programme of continuous improvement in all areas of our organisation

· Undertake regular surveys of our customers to ensure that we continue to meet your expectations.

Staff will be:

· Receptive to your comments and be able to take action upon such comments

· Polite and helpful at all times

· Easily identifiable by wearing uniforms at all times

· Suitably trained with appropriate qualifications

The Pools will be:

· Supervised by the recommended number of qualified staff at all times

· Tested at regular intervals to ensure comfort and safety

· Safe and Hygienic to swim in

· Maintained at a temperature of 30° C in the Main Pool and 31°C in the Learner Pool

Availability of Services:

· Any unforeseen circumstances will be notified to our customers through the display of appropriate notices throughout the Centre

· The Centre programme of services and activities will be published in our customer informational leaflets

· Any unforeseen interruptions to services which have been booked will result in a refund and or an offer of alternative service if possible

All Changing Rooms, Showers and Toilets will be:

· Clean, hygienic and in good working order

· Maintained at a temperature which is comfortable and appropriate to activity use

· Checked by staff on a regular basis and remedial action taken when necessary

Dryside and Activity Areas will be:

· Clean and safe for use

· Ready for use within 5 minutes of commencement of the booking unless prior arrangements have been made with the customer

· Set-up as per the operating regulations of the equipment manufacturers

· Furnished with equipment which is in good working order, and maintained regularly
