Equality Impact Statement

Recent legislative changes in Northern Ireland have introduced a duty on public authorities to promote equality of opportunity and good relations.

Magherafelt District Council, in keeping with its record of promoting equality of opportunity, is committed to delivering on its new responsibilities. The issue of promoting equality of opportunity and good relations has the full support of the Council and shall be taken forward under the leadership of the Chief Executive.
