No perhaps in the future!

Do you have squash courts?

No there is very little demand for squash at the moment.

How do go about joining the gym?

Firstly you must undergo an induction, which can be booked through our membership advisor which covers how to use the equipment safely and information on joining fees.

Why must I have an induction?

An induction is essential for health and safety reasons.

I'm a member of Magherafelt gym; do I still have to do an induction?

Yes our equipment is different from Greenvale Leisure Centre

I'm a lifestyle of the Greenvale Leisure Centre does that cover me for Maghera as well?

Yes, the Council has now approved that all 'Lifestyle' memberships will be cover all the council's Leisure facilities.

Has the council any plans for introducing a dual membership scheme?

The Council has recently introduced dual membership scheme for all its leisure facilities.

Couple

Why can't I book Pirates private for a party?

Pirates cater for up to 50 children, unless your party contains this, then we let casuals in.

What are the opening times?

Monday - Friday 7.30am - 10.00pm.
Sat 9am - 5.30pm
Sun 11.30am - 6.pm

Can we block book the main hall?

Only centre based clubs have this privilege.

No we have vending facilities.

Do you have any crèche facilities?

Sorry no the council does not at present provide any form of child care

If you take out lifestyle membership does this cover me for an induction?

Yes, inductions now cover both Maghera and Greenvale Leisure Centres.

Are there any ladies only morning in the gym/ health suite?

At the moment there are two 8-week class for circuit training with use of the health suite after. As the availability for this class is restricted it is essential that you pre book.
