Refuse Collection

Technical Services provides the statutory refuse collection to all domestic premises in the Council area. Your refuse is collected once a week from your kerbside. Our refuse staff commence work at 8.00am.

We can also arrange for the collection of large bulky household items such as furniture, beds, fridges, T.V's etc. for disposal. This service is offered free of charge following a written request.

Please note we do not offer a collection for builder's material or rubble. This material can be disposed of at any of our civic amenity sites.

Help us to provide a good service

Refuse collection crews commence work at 8.00am. Please make sure your bin is out on time. Please ensure your wheelie bin is placed at the kerbside for collection on the correct collection days. Take care to separate your waste in accordance with the information leaflets provided. Do not put hot ashes in your bin. Do not present your bin for collection with the lid standing up as this can cause damage to your wheelie bin during the emptying cycle.
