Silver Surfer's Day

Are you 50+ and want to know about computers?

If you are over 50 and would like to find out more about computers, then fear no more. You are invited to go along to your local library and put your name down for one of the free computer sessions, taking place during Silver Surfers' Day, on Friday 23rd May.

Magherafelt Library will be offering 20 older people their first experience with computer technology. From 10am - 1pm and from 2pm - 4pm on Friday 23rd May, you will be able to book a one-hour session to have a go on the computer or surf the internet.

On Silver Surfers' Day, hundreds of organisations use specially prepared resources to run IT taster sessions for older people in their community. Sessions are relaxed and fun to make everyone feel at ease. Silver Surfers in the library will be assisted by local Business in the Community volunteers who will help them to make their first attempt in using a computer and getting online.
